Using video to communicate a message is powerful. Understanding how to create a video that achieves this is a challenge that requires expert knowledge and experience. As an accomplished and valued video producer from an online marketing background, I have that knowledge to share.
In recent years video has become accessible to a much wider group as costs have decreased and the internet has made reaching an audience a far simpler prospect. As a communicator, if video is not part of your strategy you are missing a great trick.
Having worked in corporate and editorial video communication in online environments over the last 6 years, I have witnessed this growth at its height. The only downside has been the unfortunate decline in the quality of video production; the result of do-it-yourself technologies and low broadband speeds providing a quality curtain to hide behind. The audience had lowered its expectations… but that’s fast changing, as are the broadband speeds that no longer hinder quality of video playback. In fact “HD” on the web has all but become standard.
As a result of my varied experience I strongly believe that quality can and should be maintained. I also know through my industry exposure that this doesn’t require high budgets. As an online and video strategy consultant and producer-director I know how to increase the quality of production in video communication so that more individuals, companies and bodies can give their audience a positive experience through quality content while sticking to realistic budgets.
Understanding who the audience is also essential. Knowing how to target specific people by tailoring the content, the media type, the message delivery and the communication space is a skill. Clients know their audience best, so by asking the right questions and working with my clients to combine their knowledge with mine, I help get effective, cost-effective results that work in-line with their greater business strategy.
